Dorothy G. Nester, 96, of Richmond, Virginia, formerly of
Millstone, West Virginia, passed away August 11, 2002.
Mrs. Nester was a member of Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church,
Grantsville, WV and Grantsville Chapter 73 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was the daughter of the late David and Alice Kelley of Cain Hill, Gilmer
County, the widow of O.R. Griffith and Holly Nester, and was the last surviving
member of her family of four brothers, Tony, Deward, Harlan and Fay Kelley,
and five sisters, Ila Davis, Leota Bush, Jessie Murphy, Pearl Rhoades and Thelma
Curtis, and one daughter, Alice Anne Adams.
She is survived by her daughter, Nedra Grigg of Richmond.; five
grandchildren, Kelley Winn of South Carolina, Mary Page of Florida, Charles
Adams Jr. of North Carolina, J. Ashley Grigg III of Glen Allen, Virginia, Jayne Anne
Grigg of Richmond, Virginia.; great-grandsons, Will Page and Marc Grigg; many
beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 16, at Stalnaker Cemetery,
Glenville, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville.
