Norma Rae Francis Layfield, 74, of Vienna, WV went home to her Savior on April 6, 2013 at Camden Clark Hospital Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born in Grantsville, WV on Oct. 16, 1939 to the late Hall V. and Tressa Wright Francis.
Norma enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling, as well as, serving her lord at the Evangelical Methodist Church, where she was a member for many years.
Her hobbies encluded crafts and studing the Civil War.
Surviving Norma are her daugthers: Mary Louise Layfield of Vienna. Carol Ann Foster and her husband, Allen of Bluffton, SC, Chrisandera Lee Bunnells, also of Vienna.
Five grandchildren: Norma Ann Bustos, Natalie Jene Pepper, Chad Allen Foster, Ashley Dawn Blosser and her husband, Randell, Kayla Lee Bunnells, as well as, ten great grandchildren.
Also surviving Norma are her five siblings - her sisters Shirley Corbin and husband David. Linda Smith and husband, Jerry. Her brothers, Brad Francis and his wife, Sandy. Rev. Harold Francis and wife, Ann, and Larry Francis, in addition to ten nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Isaac Newton Layfield, Jr in 1995.
The funeral service was held in Parkersburg, with Rev. Harold Francis and Rev. Jeff Williamson officiating. Burial was at Sunset Memory Garden. |
