Local and regional fire departments have been responding to numerous forest fires, with the sun and dry conditions creating a higher risk.
A number of large fires have been reported around the state, some 100 acres of more.
The Grantsville VFD responded to a forest fire at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in a remote section between Yellow Creek and Leading Creek, near a section called Triplett, firemen eventually walked into the area to put the fire out.
