| Barbara Alice McMillan McKeithen was born April 16th in Maysville, Kentucky. Barbara was the daughter of Delpha and John McMillan, and sister to Howard McMillan and Erma Lee McMillan Haynes. She was married to her loving husband, who preceded her in death, Howard McKeithen.
Barbara is survived by her son John M. McKeithen (wife Gazelle), grandson Sean McKeithen, and her daughter Trudy K. Mackey (husband Jim) and grandchildren Grant and Celysse Mackey.
Barbara was raised in West Virginia, in and around the Charleston area, until transferring with the Southern Bell Telephone Company to Jacksonville, Florida in 1951. It was in Jacksonville, with Southern Bell, that Barbara would meet Howard and they would be wed for 55 years. Barbara and Howard would go on to raise their family living in various communities along the east coast of Florida, finally retiring back in Jacksonville in 1985.
Barbara passed in the morning of March 1, 2013. In her retirement she loved playing cards, Chinese checkers, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Otto Cemetery near Spencer, West Virginia. A visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 pm until 1:45 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer when the procession will leave for the cemetery.
