Erline Crislip Smith, 90, of Bidwell, Ohio formerly of Spencer WV, went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2013.
Erline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to Avery, who was her little angel, and was looking forward to her new great-granddaughter in May.
She attended Bethel United Methodist Church for many years and gave her heart to the Lord in February 2010.
During World War II, she worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber in Akron, Ohio. After the war, she and Charlie settled at the foot of Barcutt Hill where they resided until his death in 2008. While in Spencer, she had worked at Spencer Manufacturing, which was later Kellwood Company, and had enjoyed making quilts.
She had been in declining health for the past year and was a resident of Abbyshire Place in Bidwell, Ohio where she was much loved by the staff and residents.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Rodney Wallbrown of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia; three granddaughters, Kristin Wallbrown of Pt. Pleasant, Kara Hesson of Henderson, West Virginia, and Kessa (Phillip) Fenton of Moneta, Virginia; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Hesson; four sisters, Floy Schreckengost, Helen Rainey, Wilma McCroskey, and Betty (Holly) Moss; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles; her parents, Ernest and Odious Greathouse Crislip; two sisters, Ruth Schreckengost and Glenda Workman; and three brothers, Bernice "Bud" Crislip. Ernest "June" Crislip, Jr., and Charles Crislip.
Service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Garry Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
