STRING OF THEFTS STRIKE CALHOUN COUNTY - $500 Reward Offered

(03/16/2013)
A string of thefts have reportedly occurred in Calhoun within the last week, from stealing money changer boxes at car washes to stealing batteries from vehicles.

A reward is being offered related to the thefts.

The incidents are being investigated by the WV State Police.

The agency does not release public information regarding property crimes in the county.

The money changer box at Furr's Car Wash at Cabot Station was pulled from the wall, likely with a chain pulled by a vehicle, similar to a number of incidents recently reported in Wood County.

The money collection box was also reportedly stolen from a Grantsville car wash.

Batteries have been stolen from Cain Oil and Gas at least twice, a dozen batteries or more, and reportedly from one or more Calhoun school buses.

A reward is being offered in the amount of $500 dollars for information pertaining to the arrest of person or persons that removed the money changers from Furrs Auto Sales and batteries from Cain Oil and Gas trucks on two separate occasions.

All information will be kept confidential.
