Residents and businesses in seven West Virginia counties affected by Superstorm Sandy can apply for low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The loans are available for residents and businesses in Nicholas, Braxton, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Kanawha and Webster counties for damage that occurred between Oct. 29 and Nov. 10, 2012.
Loans are available for up to $200,000 for homeowners and up to $2 million for businesses to make repairs and replace lost items.
The filing deadline is April 26 for physical property damage and Nov. 25 for economic injury applications.
The storm dumped more than 2 feet of snow in parts of the state, left seven people dead and knocked out electricity to more than a quarter-million customers, some for two weeks.
