| Steven Knotts, 45, of Shock, was killed Monday while working for Pete Gould & Sons Inc., a pipeline contracting company, doing work in Doddridge County.
Knotts has roots in Calhoun County.
Knotts was reportedly killed when a tree fell on him, according to the Sheriffs Department.
Workers were in the process of creating a right-of-way for a pipeline project.
OSHA responded to the scene and is still investigating how the incident happened and if any violations will be issued. OSHA has six months to issue a violation for the incident.
His body was sent to the WV Medical Examiners office.
