Who Is Eligible For Preschool?
1) All children who are 4 years old prior to September 1, 2013
2) 3 year olds thought to have developmental delays, which are determined eligible by screening criteria. Contact 304-354-7011, Ext. 10 to register for screening
How Does My Child Become Enrolled In Preschool?
All children applying will need to have a physician complete a Preventative Health Screen with dental and hemoglobin test. This form is available at the office of your family physician or local health facility.
Parents will need to complete and return Calhoun County Preschool Collaborative Packet which can be obtained at either local elementary school, the PERC Office at Calhoun Middle High School, or the Calhoun County Board Office beginning March 1, 2013.

Completed Calhoun County Collaborative Preschool Packets are due by March 22, 2013. Please bring them to the Calhoun County Board of Education or drop them off where you obtained them.
What Happens After I Turn in My Completed Preschool Packet?<
After your packet is reviewed you will receive a phone call indicating required documentation that needs to be submitted to complete your child's enrollment into preschool or you will receive a phone call stating that your packet is complete and that your child will be enrolled into preschool.
Documentation For Enrollment To Be Provided, In Addition To The Completed Preschool Packet Forms:
1) Income Verification
2) Vital Statistics Birth Certificate
3) Current Shot Record
4) Preventative Health Screen with dental and hemoglobin test
Kindergarten Age Children Not Currently Enrolled
Children who are 5 years old prior to September 1, 2013 and not previously enrolled, are eligible to attend Kindergarten. Contact the secretary at your local elementary school for registration information.
