Calhoun Middle School Girls A Team traveled to the Gassaway
Armory on Friday and Saturday night to play in
the Final Four Tournament for the first time in
13 years.
Friday night the girls played
Braxton and came up a little short by a
score of 31-25.
CMS A Team advanced on
to the Consolation game on Saturday evening
at 6:30 to play for third place against Glade.
CMS came out on top by winning with a
score of 43-34.
CMS A Team was awarded the
third place trophy along with individual honors of
Makayla Smith (210 season points) and Tori
Allen (143 season points) with All-Conference
awards and Makayla Smith was named to the
All-Tournament Team with a total of 39 tournament
points.
CMS A Team finished 3rd out of 10
conference teams in the CWVAC.
