Ronnie Morgan, age 67, passed away February 15, 2013 at Eldercare of Ripley WV where he had spent the last months of his life. He had lived at Grantsville WV prior to moving to Eldercare.
He was born April 29, 1945 near Arnoldsburg WV, the son of the late Arthur and Tressie Whytsell Morgan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Larry; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Seymour Scarpellini. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Morgan and a very close friend who was like a brother, Paul Starcher.
He is survived by his stepmother Geneva Morgan of Fitzgerald GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Joyce Morgan of Arnoldsburg WV and John and Wanda Morgan of Sterling OH; two stepsisters, Barbara and her husband Jack Goodman of Williamsburg WV, and Ruth Wilson of Fitzgerald GA; and some very special nieces and nephews.
Ronnie graduated from Calhoun County High School and then served in the United States Army for two years. He worked at B&W in Barberton Ohio and later retired from there. After retirement Ronnie had moved back and lived on the family farm. He loved 4-wheel riding and loved talking and visiting with friends. He never saw a stranger. He loved his stay at Eldercare and made many friends while there.
His service will be February 23 at 1 pm at Stump Funeral Home at Arnoldsburg with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Burial will be in the Morgan Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the time of the service.
