Robert L. "Heavy" Clarkson, 60, of Clover WV, died at 8:17 p.m. Sunday February 10, 2013 in the CAMC - General Hospital, Charleston.
He was born October 28, 1952 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Ronsford Nelson and Margie May Connor Clarkson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jean Clarkson.
Heavy was the retired owner and operator of the Clover Café. He was a graduate of Spencer High School.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Corrie and Jane Clarkson of Spencer; three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Paige, Mikalah Marie and Kylie Shea Clarkson; a brother, William "Wormy" Clarkson.
A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, February 14 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. "Danny" Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call from 10:30 until noon Thursday.
