State Police in Calhoun charged Douglas Shane Morris, 44, of Glenville, last week with the possession of controlled substances, further charging him with intent to deliver.
The arrest followed a traffic stop in Calhoun in October, 2012.
Morris is listed as vice-president of WACO Oil and Gas in Glenville.
The felony complaint is based on Morris' possession of about 35 pills, listed in the complaint as Adderall and Percocet, including a small amount of synthetic marijuana.
Sgt. O. S. Starsick, in the complaint, says he intervened on Morris' vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on State Route 5.
"This officer reached speeds of 90 mph, but failed to catch up to the suspect vehicle," said Sgt. Starsick, who says he had clocked the vehicle's speed at 74 mph.
The complaint says the officer made the stop later on Rt. 5 near Grantsville, during which time the possession was discovered following a voluntary search.
Morris, according to press reports, had previously been arrested for possession, after which he entered a drug rehabilitation program.
Morris appeared in Calhoun Magistrate Court and was released on bond.
