Parkersburg police are investigating the theft of an ATM machine from the Certified Gas Station in south Parkersburg early Thursday morning.
The thieves backed up to the front door, busted the glass door, and multiple suspects entered.
They tied a chain around the ATM machine which was then pulled loose by the truck, and loaded it on the vehicle.
"According to the time stamp (2:24 AM) on the
surveillance footage, the crime was completed in less than
two minutes, according to Detective J. M. Stalnaker, who is in charge of the case.
Extensive damage was done to the front of the store. The
amount of money taken is not being released at this time, according to Sgt. Greg Collins.
