| Merril C. Marsh age 84 of 5930 US Hwy 33 West, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 9:58 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at his residence following an unexpected illness.
Born June 5, 1928 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, son of the late Kemper and Martha Woofter Marsh.
Merril was a rock crusher for State Construction, where he served as a superintendent. He also spent several years in the real estate industry. He was a Baptist by faith and attended the Stewarts Creek Church. Merril liked to live the home life. He enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and spending time with family. "He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out" John 10.3.
On August 5, 1949 he was united in marriage to Mary Wolfe Marsh, who preceded him in death on December 13, 2011.
Surviving are 1 son, Rodney Marsh and wife Debbie of Pineville, West Virginia; 1 daughter, Jeanne Zsigray and husband John of Glenville; 2 grandchildren, Sharon Rose of Pennsylvania, and Sherri George of Virginia; 5 great-grandchildren, Issac, Caleb, and Josh Hornbeck of Pennsylvania, Matthew Rose of Pennsylvania, and Christina George of Virginia; 1 brother, John Marsh; and 1 sister, Marie Morrison.
Along with his parents and wife, Merril was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Joyce Ann Marsh; and several brothers and sisters.
At the request of Merril, his body was cremated and a graveside service will be set at a later date.
