FAYETTE MAN MURDERED - Police have arrested a Fayette County man for murder after a shooting Thursday.
Terreque Alj Gray, 23, of Oak Hill, is being held in the Southern Regional Jail.
Oak Hill police responded to a 911 call in regard to a shooting and found a man in serious condition from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died.
The victim's name has not been released.
CHARLESTON MAN SHOT IN DOORWAY -
Charleston police are reporting that Hai Ngyun, 47, was shot in the leg and chest early Thursday morning at his residence by suspects who were reportedly demanding money.
Ngyun is undergoing surgery in a Charleston hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Police are looking for two suspects in the incident.
Charleston detectives found a handgun and hundreds of dollars in cash at the doorway. Police believe the victim knew the suspects and do not believe the act to be random in nature.
"Due to the amount of cash lying around, and it was scattered as if there had been an altercation, so it appears that the robbery went bad," said Lieutenant Steve Cooper.
HOLD-UP MAN CAUGHT - Huntington Police say that Brandon Skaggs was locked in a CVS pharmacy during an alleged robbery attempt.
Lieutenant John Williams said, "Pharmacy personnel had locked the doors and left, leaving the subject trapped inside, once officers responded, he was holding a box cutter, failing to drop it on the floor, officers attacked him to the ground to get the weapon from him and placed him in custody."
Skaggs was taken to the hospital for a possible drug overdose.
PUTNAM ARMED ROBBERY HOSPITALIZED MAN - Two people have been arrested after police say they were part of an armed robbery that hospitalized a man for five days with head injuries.
Lewis Benson Day, 27, of Hurricane and Stephanie Bea Horn, 22, of Scott Depot are now charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.
The two along with two others robbed another pair at gunpoint on Dec. 9, 2012, in Putnam County.
THREATENS TO KILL POLICE - A DUI stop in Jane Lew ended with a man being charged with terrorist threats after he allegedly threatened to shoot State Police.
Officers said they received a call of a hit and run in a parking lot in Jane Lew. They later discovered a truck matching the description wrecked into a barbed wire fence.
The driver, 48-year-old Michael Hager, refused to participate in a field sobriety test and when the officer tried to arrest him, Hager tried to grab the trooper, saying he was going to shoot him and all of the West Virginia State Police.
Hager also tried kicking out the window in the cruiser.
Hager has been charged and is in Central Regional Jail.
