Classes at Calhoun Middle-High School were dismissed
after a bomb threat was discovered Wednesday morning
Responders go to school to investigate and clear building
12:30 PM WED. - A bomb threat found on a paper inside a restroom at Calhoun Middle-High School shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday caused students to be evacuated from the building and responders going to the scene.
"The building underwent a search and was cleared at 3:15 p.m.
Drug dogs were brought to help clear the building," according to Sheriff Carl Ballengee.
The written note reportedly said "Calhoun (school) will blow today."

Sheriff Ballengee indicated authorities had a suspect, and State Police have questioned a 17-year-old female student regarding the incident.
Sources said charges are likely to be brought.
OES Director Kathy Wood responded to the scene, with the State Police, Calhoun Sheriffs Department, Arnoldsburg Fire Department and Calhoun EMS.
Parents received automatic calls from the school advising that students were dismissed to their buses at about 10:20 a.m. and were being sent home.
Both elementary schools are operated on their regular school and bus schedule.
Calhoun Middle-High School students will return to class Thursday.
A considerable number of West Virginia schools have received threats since the Newtown Connecticut tragedy.
A few weeks ago,
alleged threats made toward Calhoun Middle-High School were no more than rumors circulated on Facebook, according to Roger Propst, Calhoun Superintendent of Schools.
