| Pauline Greenlief age 95 of Big Run Road, Troy, West Virginia, departed this life at 2:25 a.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012 at her residence following a 6 month illness.
Born May 13, 1917, in Gilmer County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Albert and Viola Brooks Post.
Mrs. Greenlief was a homemaker, mother, and Baptist by faith. She loved flower gardening, crossword puzzles, working with paper dolls, taking trips with the Gilmer County Senior Citizens, but most of all taking care of her children and grandchildren.
On June 20, 1936 she was united in marriage to Russell Aaron Greenlief, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1982.
Surviving are 7 children, Jeanne McCartney of Joplin Missouri, Russell Glenn Greenlief and wife Diane of Smithville, West Virginia, Hayden Lee Greenlief and wife Janet of Lawford, West Virginia, Betty Burton and husband Bub of Weston, West Virginia, Charles Lynn Greenlief and companion Patty of Barborsville, West Virginia, Gary Wayne Greenlief and wife Nancy of Troy, WV, and Patricia Ann Greenlief and companion Mike of Holden Beach, North Carolina.
Also surviving are 2 sisters, Helen and Anna Lee; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Greenlief was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Helen Greenlief; 1 son, Homer W. Greenlief; and 1 granddaughter Chastity Lynn Westfall.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, West Virginia, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012. Burial will follow at the Alice Cemetery, friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mortuary.
