12/20/2012 -32-year-old Beth Ann Kraus of Alum Bridge, who was found dead with her two children in a burned Lewis County barn over a month ago, shot and killed her children and herself, according to Sheriff's Deputy Robert Ryan Thursday.
Authorities say Mrs. Kraus and her children, 5-year-old Kaden and 3-year-old Keira, were shot before the fire.
Police and state fire investigators say they have spent more than 100 hours working the case, Ryan said in a media conference Thursday.
They have found no reason to believe that anyone else was involved in the deaths.
Doug Kraus, the husband and father of the trio, discovered the bodies in the burned-out barn near Alum Bridge on Nov. 12.
