| A young woman was taken to the hospital after a serious crash in Roane County, near Walton.
The accident happened just before midnight on U.S. Route 119 near the McKowns Creek Road intersection, a short distance from Walton.
911 dispatchers say the vehicle went about 15 to 20 feet over a steep embankment.
The woman is being flown to CAMC hospital. Dispatchers say nobody else was in the car with her and no other vehicles were involved.
West Virginia State Police investigating.
