An Arnoldsburg area man was taken to Roane General Hospital Thursday, reportedly suffering from a diabetic condition, after driving his vehicle which allegedly struck another vehicle and other stationary objects along the highway.
A small child was in the man's vehicle.
The man then struck a stationary pipe pillar while turning into Speedy Mart at Arnoldsburg.
Sources at the scene said individuals began to evaluate the problem and called for the Calhoun Sheriffs Department and Calhoun EMS.
"They made sure he stayed put," said one individual.
A customer at Speedy Mart had been following the man driving up Altizer Road, saying he was driving slowly and recklessly. |
