Mildred Maxine Johnson (nee Ferrell), 84 years old formerly of Elyria, Ohio went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Brownsburg Meadow Nursing Home, Brownsburg, Indiana where she was currently residing with her husband of 65 years.
Mildred was born in Grantsville, West Virginia on February 9, 1928. She lived in Elyria from 1950 until 2010.
She attended Calhoun High School until 1946. A loving homemaker, she belonged to Beth-el Baptist Church, VFW, Post 1079, the Women of the Moose, Lodge #778. She enjoyed cooking and painting and loved children.
Mildred will be missed by her husband of 65 years, Otis Clyde Johnson, two sons and their wives Stephen Ray Johnson and Judy of California and Pastor Timothy Neil Johnson and Julie of Indiana; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was greeted in heaven by her daughter, Brenda Sauer who died in 1975. Also preceding her in death were her three brothers, four sisters; and her parents, Edward P. and Nellie F. (nee Snyder) Ferrell.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 10:00 A.M until the time of services in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Kenneth Tucker, Pastor of Beth-el Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio. |
