SEARCH ON FOR MISSING DRIVER - Vehicle Discovered In Bull River-White Pine Area

A search was still on at daybreak Monday for a subject police had been seeking Sunday afternoon. Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee was still in the Bull River-White Pine area looking for the man

The man's vehicle was discovered over the hill about 11 p.m. Sunday, having rolled over.

Sources at the scene said the individual was likely in the area, having found his shoe.

The Grantsville VFD and Calhoun EMS were dispatched to the scene, assisting in the search.

Authorities expressed concern for the man's emotional state, indicating he might be intoxicated and possibly carrying a weapon.

Emergency services and police officers were warned to be cautious as the search continued.

The Grantsville VFD responded to a call at 8:20 p.m. Sunday on Sycamore Road, where power lines were down.

The Spencer-Roane VFD and the Reedy VFD were answering a call at 5 a.m. to a structure fire "fully engulfed" on U.S. 33, the Roane-Jackson line.
