Sunday, visitors were still stopping at the I-79 Wallback exit where two State Police officers were tragically shot to death on August 28, the shooter later being shot to death after he wounded a Roane Co. deputy sheriff and a wrecker driver.
Additions have been added to the makeshift memorial under the Interstate bridge, from flowers, plaques, and photos to flags, poetry verses and hundreds of scribbled messages on walls and pillars.
