| Ava R. Ruble, 91, of Palestine WV passed away October 4, 2012 at Worthington Nursing Home of Parkersburg WV after an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the Late Eddie and Hattie Blazier Robinson.
She was a graduate of Wirt County High School and Glenville State College where she received her teaching degree.
Ava taught school in Wirt County for over 50 years, she taught in many of the old one room schools for years and later the Wirt County Grade School, and substituted for a number of years in Wirt County High, Middle and Grade Schools.
Her passion was gardening and working on the farm and raising her 4 boys.
She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church, and a former member of the Wirt County Farm Bureau.
She was married to the Late James Ruble.
She is survived by her 4 boys, Laird (Ravel) Ruble of Williamstown WV, Lewis (Debra) Ruble of Palestine, Michael (Brenda) Ruble of Lesage WV, and Robert (Joann) Ruble of Bluefield WV; grandchildren, Chad Ruble of Spokane Washington, Tammy Catt of West Memphis, Arkansas, Brandon Ruble of Lesage, Jacob Ruble of Princeton WV, Crystal Hendrik of Bluefield, Ryan Smith of Bluefield, Amy Lockney of Palestine Amber Jones of Parkersburg WV, Nathanael Ruble of Wichita Kansas, Laird James Ruble II, and Rachel Ruble of Williamstown; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sister, Ruth and Ester.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 1 great grandchild, Dalton Walker.
Memorial services will be Sunday October 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home, Elizabeth WV with Rev. Dale Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be Sunday October 14 from noon until time of service. Graveside services will follow at Sayre Cemetery of Palestine WV.
