A Massachusetts woman accused of posing as a 17-year-old boy to prey on a Gilmer County girl intends to enter a plea next week in federal court.
U.S. Magistrate John Kaull entered an order Monday scheduling an Oct. 10 hearing for 25-year-old Carissa Hads of Quincy.
The court says Hads entered a plea agreement with the government, but details of the terms have not been released.
She previously pleaded not guilty to one count of traveling in interstate commerce to engage in illegal sexual conduct.
Investigators say Hads pretended to be a 17-year-old boy and began an online relationship with the girl in 2010.
She visited the teen at least three times and had a sexual encounter.
Officials indicated the teen's mother was complicit in assisting her daughter meet with Hads.
