A Roane County man has been charged a second time with manufacturing of
methamphetamine, this time in Lincoln County. Larry G. Evans, 62, of Griffithsville,
was operating a lab at his residence in Lincoln County, according to authorities.
The Huntington Violent Crimes/Drug Task Force and a large number of law
enforcement officers swooped down on Evan's mobile home in Roane on May 23,
after which he reportedly admitted to manufacturing crank.
Authorities confiscated equipment and a drug this week, which appeared to be in
partial stages of manufacture.
He is currently lodged in South Central Regional Jail under $51,000 bond and could
face up to 40 years in jail.
