| Bernard Lee Godfrey Sr., 77, of Parkersburg passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Ohio Valley Health Care.
He was born March 14, 1935, in Grantsville, a son of the late Clarence and Sylvia Godfrey. He was a welder, a member of the Pipefitters Union, and he loved spending time in the outdoors.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Inga Godfrey, daughter, Tina Darlene Godfrey, and son Daniel Lee Godfrey.
He is survived by his sons, Bernard Lee Godfrey Jr., Robert Lee Godfrey, daughter, Elizabeth Carlene Godfrey, brother, Larry Godfrey, sisters, Vanzie McGlothin, and Veta Creps, step sons, Dennis Cline and Ronnie Cline, grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Whittany, Brittany, and Jonathon Godfrey, Rick Stull II, and Anna Burdett, great grandson, Haydon Stull along with other extended family.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ohio Valley Health Care and Betty Myers for their care.
Service will be Sunday, 1 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Eugene Allender officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
