Fire quickly spread through a two-story house at Orma yesterday evening, destroying the
structure and its contents. The residence was owned by Jimmy and Christina McCune, who
with their two pre-school children occupied the dwelling.
The family lost everything.
Firemen said Ms. McCune left the house to feed some horses and noticed the dwelling on
fire a few minutes later.
Firemen from the Upper West Fork and Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Departments responded
to the call at 4:30 p.m.
The Upper West Fork VFD responded with two pumpers, and the Arnoldsburg VFD
responded with a pumper and two tankers.
The residence was located against the hillside above Route 16, across the road from the
Orma Church.
