Rudolph Straub, 78, of Arnoldsburg, died September 14, 2012 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg with his loving wife at his side.
Born February 9, 1934 in Blenheim, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Wendelin and Anna Straub. He was retired from the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yards with 37 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran. He had been a resident of Arnoldsburg for 24 years where he lived a good life.
Surviving are his wife and best friend JoAnn Marie Straub. He was a devoted father of three daughters; Stephanie E. Leek, and her husband Ed, Sandra E. McGarvey and her husband Ken, Tamara L Collazo and one son, R. Michael Straub and his wife Michelle. One sister, Anna Marie Loppiccolo and her husband Mario. He was an adoring grandfather of 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his brother Fredrick Straub and his uncle and aunt, Richard and Magdelaina Moore.
Private final arrangements and cremation were provided by Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family plant a tree or flowers in his memory.
