| Mildred Naomi Sturm Cunningham,89, Barberton OH, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012. She was born in Millstone, W.Va. on June 5, 1923 to Fred and Geraldine Sturm.
She married Harry Cunningham on April 12, 1941 in Millstone. They settled in Grantsville, W.Va. but eventually moved to Ohio where they raised their family and made it home, however, her heart always remained in West Virginia.
Mildred worked at Nichols Dry Cleaning in Norton for many years and retired from there. She was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple and always remained firm in her faith. She enjoyed her retirement years by visiting with family and traveling with her 'The Golden Agers Group'.
Mildred was preceded in death by husband, Harry; brothers, Ershil (Buck) Sturm, Fred Sturm Jr. and Henry L. (Lee) Sturm. She is survived by her three children, Richard (Pam) Cunningham, Karen (Galen) Smith and James (Kathy) Cunningham. She also leaves 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also mourning her loss are her brother, Bob (Dixie) Sturm; brothers-in-law, Paul (Virginia) Cunningham, William (MaryEllen) Cunningham and sisters-in-law, Jean Sturm, Ernestine Bishop and MaryBelle Cunningham; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
