Frances McMillan Jordan, 95, of Lewisburg, WV, formerly of Spencer, WV,
died July 13, 2002, at the Greenbrier Manor in Lewisburg.
She was born April 10, 1907, in Otto, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and
Alma Brannon McMillan. Mrs. Jordan was a homemaker and mother, living most
of her life on Charles Fork, farming with her husband. She was a founding
member of the Otto Advent Christian Church and a member of the Methodist
Church on Charles Fork and the Methodist Women's Christian Service.
She is survived by one son, Authur Brice Jordan of Spartanburg, PA; two
daughters, Peggy Heeter of Spencer and Wanda J. Blake of Lewisburg; 14
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several
step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paris Guy Jordan in 1985; one son,
Walter C. Jordan; one sister, Kate Weltner of Parkersburg, WV; and three brothers,
Hal and Leon, both of Otto, and Dean McMillan of Akron, Ohio.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral
Home, Spencer, with Rev. Mike King officiating. Burial in the Spencer Memorial
Cemetery. Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home |
