| Barbara Chaney, 65, of Parkersburg WV, passed away August 24, 2012 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Lima, Peru the daughter of the late Robert and Joyce Gouckenour.
She was 1965 graduate of Ravenswood High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being a mother.
She is survived by her children, Jackie Gilbert Hensley of Washington WV and her children (Justin, Brittany and Aaron); Mark Gilbert (Kari) of Minot ND and their Children (Andrew, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Ben);
Shawn Lewis (Joseph) of Frederick MD and their son (Damian); David Chaney of Sykesville MD and Jennifer Chaney of Chesterfield VA; a great grandson, Sean Smith; bothers, William and Sharon Gouckenour of Ravenswood WV and Richard and Robin Gouckenour of Lexington KY; sister, Elizabeth Brashear of Summerville SC.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 26 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until time of the service. Interment will be at Beulah Hill Cemetery.
