Officials from Camden-Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg say they will close St. Joseph's Hospital within four years.
Camden-Clark CEO Mike King says St. Joseph's workers and operations will be consolidated into their campus by 2016, if not sooner.
King tells the Parkersburg News and Sentinel that the consolidation is "the right thing to do for this community."
King says it is costing $20 million a year to maintain the St. Joseph's campus.
Signature Hospital Corp. sold St. Joseph to West Virginia United Health System, which merged the hospital with Camden-Clark Memorial in 2011 to form a regional medical center.
