Calhoun County Universal Preschool Program

If you are the parent of a child that is 4 years old or have a child that will be 4 years old prior to September 1, 2012 they are eligible to attend preschool in accordance with Policy 2525.
Calhoun County Schools is accepting any student who is 4 years old, whose permanent residence is in Calhoun County, into the preschool program located at Arnoldsburg Elementary and Pleasant Hill School.
Preschool packets are available at both elementary schools and all completed packets should be submitted to the elementary school in the child's school district.
Calhoun County Universal Preschool is in operation Monday thru Thursday during the regular school day. Transportation is provided to those children living in the school district only, out of district preschool students must be transported to and from school daily by their parents.
Meals will be provided by the school at no cost to the family under the Community Eligibility Option (CEO) Program.
Children who are 3 years old that seem to be developing at a slower rate than their peers are eligible to be screened for special education services.
Parents wishing to have a 3 year old screened need to contact Calhoun County Board of Education at 304-354-7011, ext.10 to schedule a screening with the diagnostician.
