The Big Otter Go-Mart was robbed early yesterday morning by a man
wearing a white hood and carrying a handgun. A deliveryman for the
Charleston Gazette enroute to Clarksburg stopped at the store near the
I-79 exit and was ushured into a back room and also robbed by the man.
Clay County Deputy Sheriff Jeff Rider said the female clerk gave the
robber an undisclosed amount of cash at 12:15 a.m. Monday, after which
he told them not to follow him. The Gazette carrier, Brian Massey,
was
dropping papers for the Calhoun-Clay area when he walked in on the
hold-up. Neither victim could identify the suspect nor did they see a
vehicle. |
