Police say a man riding a bicycle shot him.

Asim Peterson, 31, is stable and expected to recover from his injuries, say police.

Police did respond to a call of a fight with shots fired, but no one was at the scene when they arrived.

The shooting happened near the Icon Bar when a black male rode up on a bicycle and shot him. The man said there was no altercation between him and the suspect before the shooting.

EARLY MORNING STABBING - Charleston dispatchers say a man was stabbed in the face during an argument near some bars on Capital Street around 3 am Saturday.

The victim denied medical treatment.
