| SHOT DEAD IN STREET - Police have arrested a Kanawha County man believed to have shot and killed another man early Thursday in Rand.
Brent Burdette, 19, of Rand, is charged with first-degree homicide in the death of William Cordle II, 21, of Rand, according a press release.
Deputies found Cordle lying by the street suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest area and was not responsive. He died at CAMC-General.
Burdette and Cordle had apparently been in some sort of argument before the shooting.
POLICE SAY LINCOLN MAN KILLED HIS FRIEND -
State Police in Lincoln County allege a man shot and killed his friend with a .22 caliber rifle.
They have arrested Greg Justice, 32, of Sumerco, and charged him in the death of Daniel Cook, 29, also of Sumerco.
Cook's body was found Wednesday night along Laurel Fork.
Police say the condition of the body indicated the shooting took place several days before.
