| Stella Mae Sampson Tanner, 85 of Massillon OH, formerly of Orma WV, passed away at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon.
She was born December 19, 1926 in Calhoun County WV, a daughter of the late William and Gracie Jackson Sampson.
She was a member of the Grace Cathedral in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
Surviving are daughters, Delores (Ed) Curtiss of Massillon OH and Rosalie Abbott of Wooster, OH. Sons Haymond (Raquel) Tanner of Dalton OH and Donzel (Annette) Tanner of Massillon, OH. Sister, Loraine (Lawrence) Stanley of Streetboro OH and brother Robert Sampson of Arnoldsburg as well as 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Haymond Tanner, one daughter, Doris Sampson, sisters, Mary Starcher, Lida Butler and brothers, Cecil Sampson, George Sampson, Vigil Sampson, Elmer Sampson, Andy Sampson, Russell Sampson, Harold Sampson and Roscoe Sampson.
Funeral services will be held Monday 12:00pm, July 9, 2012 at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Friends may call from 11:00am until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Carter officiating.
