Kathryn Maxine Harless Ward, 88, of Elizabeth, WV entered into her eternal rest on Friday, June 29, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Maime Harless and was preceded in death by her loving husband Willard F. Ward and sons Willard V. Ward and L. David Ward and her brothers, Bill Harless, Frankie Dearien, Freddie Dearien, and sister Phyllis Robertson.
She was employed by the Diamond Department Store in Charleston West Virginia in the late 50's and worked for the WV Dept. of Highways in the 70's. She was a member of the Eastern Star Salina Chapter, Malden, WV.
Kathryn leaves behind her sons, William "Bill" (Brenda) Ward, of Elizabeth, Steve Ward of Parkersburg; daughter, Beth (Terry) McDaniel of Charleston; grandchildren, Tammy Kisamore, William "Joe" Ward, Melissa Frame, Cindy Frame, David Frame, Christina Ward, Kelly Ward, Ryan Ward, Tiffany Ward, Benjamin Ward, Isaac Ward, David Ward, and Jessica Ward; in addition to several great grandchildren she leaves behind many loved nieces, nephew and dear friends.
Her family and friends will gather for the visitation from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 4th at Matheny Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5th at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Thorn Cemetery immediately following services.
