| Ellen Flo Starcher, 79, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away June 28, 2012 at Roane General Hospital.
Born August 13, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Stanley Guy and Dora Price Carpenter. She was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ.
Surviving are her children, Freda Hickman (Roger), Diana Starcher and Rena Hughes (Scott) all of Spencer and Carolyn Starcher (Phil Hays) of Millwood WV; three brothers, Boyd Carpenter of Ashland OH, Watson Carpenter of Mohicanville OH and Page Carpenter of Perrysville OH; five sisters, Mary Bee (Kenneth) of Ashland OH, Delma Endicott (Dewey) of Arnoldsburg WV, Ada Starr of Wooster OH, Karen Bodily of California and Sharon Stump of Spencer; three step-sisters, Daisy Boyce and Carol Falls of Ripley and Ellen Jackson of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Glen Starcher, a son Amos Glen Starcher, a grandson David McCulty; sisters Thelma Bowers, Jenny Eagle, Emma Atkinson and one brother, Guy Vane Carpenter.
Funeral services will be held Sunday July 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Pastor Gene Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Starcher Cemetery at Liberty Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon Sunday until the time of the services.
