A Summer heatwave will blanket the area for the next several days, with minimal predictions of rain.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for Friday.
Temps will hit the mid-90s, with the heat index likely in the 100s.
Meteorologists are predicting high temperatures for most of West Virginia through the end of next week.
Mike Zwier, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Charleston, said a ridge of high pressure from the Midwest will bring mid-90s temperatures to the area starting today.
Humidity will also be very high.
