The Parkersburg Police Department maintains a daily news feed of all their activities, including asking the public for help to solve crimes.
Parkersburg Police tracked down a car thief using an On-Star GPS device in the vehicle.
Police responded to a report that a 2010 GMC Arcadia was stolen from a garage.
A short time later, 911 telecommunicators advised officers
that On-Star had located the vehicle, and it was mobile in
the Parkersburg area.
Police soon located the vehicle and arrested Henry Theodore Allen II, 34, on burglary and grand larceny.
Allen failed to post a $75,000.00 bond and remains in the regional
jail at this time.
