Both the Arnoldsburg Summer Academy and Kinder Academy began their 5-week programs on Monday, July 1. Both
programs came together in a "Town Hall" meeting to discuss the goals of their respective Academy. Students, staff and
volunteers have a vote in many aspects of the running of the programs. The vote for the number one goal was unanimous-to
have fun!
During the first week, each class will research potential field trips sites in Pittsburgh and vote for their favorite. Each class also
selected a trait of good character (respect, responsibility, caring, citizenship, justice and fairness, and trustworthiness) to
research and present to the whole group through skits, posters, or anyway that gets the point across. The first week is shaping
up to be both a busy and fun one! Stay tune for more .
