Charles E. Bush, 81 of Parkersburg, West Virginia passed away June 14, 2012 at his residence.
He was born August 31, 1930 in Gilmer County, W.Va. a son of the late Ernest L. and Hester V. Wilson Bush. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mechanic for Hupp & Wharton Auto and Superior Toyota until retiring. He had worked for many years as a mechanic from his home.
Charles enjoyed working with C.B. radios and metal detectors and listening to bluegrass music. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lilly J. Richards Bush; a daughter, Debra J. Burns (Lee) of Parkersburg; a son, Douglas E. Bush of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three sisters, Marie Weese of Sophia, W.Va., Margie Mathess of Parkersburg, and Maxine Crouch of Vienna; two brothers, Jack Bush of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Porter Bush of Lubeck, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Bush.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial will follow at Hunt Cemetery in Calhoun County. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
