"COSI On Wheels" from the Center of Science and Industry, Columbus, Ohio, came to Pleasant Hill School recently to present a hands-on learning experience.
The topic for this adventure was "The Incredible Human Machine."
Twenty parent and high school student volunteers assisted Pleasant Hill students during the nine learning activities, which included: nutrition and food; the nervous, digestive and skeletal systems; exercise and heart rate; tissues and cells; and the harmful effects of tobacco and high fat foods.
The event was sponsored by the PTO. Everyone agreed it was a fun learning experience that brought science to life.
