Following the winter of 2011-12 being among the warmest and having the smallest amount of snowfall since 1895 in West Virginia, some Spring weather records have been broken.
Overall, March and May were the warmest on record in the Mountain State.
The NWS just announced that this Spring has been the warmest one on record in 31 states.
The 57 degree average between March and May beat the old record by 2 degrees. It's also the largest departure from average in U.S. history.
