| Jonathan D. Whipkey, 48, of the Beech Community, Orma, passed away May 26, 2012 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Systems of Grantsville.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Donald C. Whipkey and Janice (Sally) Dawson Whipkey. He was a former employee of Alfab Company of Smithville and B.F. Goodrich Company of Spencer and Grantsville.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Houchin Whipkey and his children, Josie Whipkey of Orma, Shawn Whipkey of Grantsville and a step-daughter Brittany McCoy of Spencer. Two sisters, Angie (Greg) Frederick of Big Springs, Vickie Dvorak of Cleveland, Ohio. Three brothers, Chad Whipkey and Kenneth Whipkey, both of Cleveland, Ohio and James (Brenda) Whipkey of Parma, Ohio. His father-in-law, Grover Houchin, Jr. of Orma and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Phyllis Houchin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:30pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00pm until the time of the service.
