FAIRMONT POLICE OFFICER IMPERSONATOR ARRESTED AGAIN - A Fairmont man arrested for impersonating a police officer last year is back in jail today after he pulled a knife on a teenage boy over the weekend.
Police say Nathan Ice chased the boy around his house and tried to cut or stab him.
Ice is being charged with attempted malicious assault, with bail set at $1,000.
MURDER-SUICIDE IN MERCER - Police are investigating a murder-suicide in Mercer County that took place Saturday afternoon.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Department says 21-year-old John Paul Moore shot and killed his father 51-year-old Clarence Moore II and then killed himself.
Both were killed by a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
The incident happened at a townhouse just outside of Princeton.
Police said there was no history of problems between the two. The younger Moore did leave behind a note. The contents have not been released.
The bodies have been sent to the state Medical Examiner's office in Charleston.
HUNTINGTON GAS STATION HOLD-UPS - Two gas stations were held up in Huntington Sunday morning, the latest in a rash of armed robberies that hit the city last week.
Huntington Police say Charles Wentz fled from police twice when they tried to question him about the robberies, at one point Wentz was hiding in a CSX rail car.
Wentz was on home confinement and was arrested on carjacking charges.
The robberies happened at a 7-11 5:30 a.m. and the other at 8 a.m. at the BP gas station.
HUNTINGTON MAN SHOT - A man from Huntington is in serious condition after he was shot late Saturday night, according to police.
They say the man walked into Cabell Huntington Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man said he was shot on Sixth Avenue.
The victim had to undergo emergency surgery and is in serious condition.
No arrests have been made.
DAVIS CREEK STABBING - A man is recovering and another person is under arrest after a stabbing in Davis Creek, Kanawha County.
911 says the victim had a stab wound to his neck.
Police have a person is in custody, but the suspect's name and a possible motive have not been released.
DOLLAR GENERAL HOLD-UP -
Huntington Police responded to an armed robbery on the east end of Huntington Friday evening.
It happened just before 5pm at the Dollar General on 5th Avenue.
They say a man walked in, demanded money, and took off.
