| DOMESTIC DISPUTE ENDS WITH MURDER - Authorities in Preston County say Dennis Ervin, 48, of Masontown, shot and killed Leslie Layman, 38, in Independence.
Ervin was captured by Preston County Sheriff's deputies after a brief search near Independence, said Sheriff Dallas Wolfe.
He now faces first-degree murder charges.
Police said the shooting was likely linked to a domestic dispute.
Wolfe said no other individuals were suspected in connection to the shooting.
